At handmade jewelery 925, operated by נטפים 55 בע״מ (company no. 510989064), we treat the accessibility of this site as part of the service itself rather than an addition to it. We work to make the site accessible to people with disabilities in accordance with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998, the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments), 5773-2013, and the Israeli standard IS 5568, which is based on WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
Conformance level
The site conforms to Level AA of IS 5568. This was achieved through a combination of automated testing (axe-core) and manual fixes in the site's own code. We do not use a third-party accessibility overlay that claims to make a site accessible automatically — accessibility is implemented in the site's code itself.
Accessibility features on this site
- The site is available in Hebrew and English, and every page declares its own language and writing direction (
lang="en",dir="ltr"). - A "Skip to main content" link, first in the keyboard tab order.
- Full keyboard navigation, with a clear focus indicator on the active element.
- Semantic structure with navigation landmarks and a heading hierarchy.
- Alternative text for content images; decorative images are marked as such.
- Form fields with associated labels, marked required fields, and error messages in the language of the page.
- Colour contrast of at least 4.5:1 for body text.
- Support for the system preference for reduced motion (
prefers-reduced-motion). - An accessibility settings menu (in the corner of the screen, or from the keyboard with Alt + A) offering contrast changes, larger text, increased line spacing, highlighted links and headings, a readable font, a larger cursor, and stopping animations.
The accessibility settings menu — what it does
The settings menu is a tool for adapting the display to your own preferences, nothing more. It changes how the site is presented; it does not change its content, does not add alternative text, and does not fix the site's code. It is not a substitute for accessibility in the code, and the conformance declared here does not rely on it.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, there may be parts of the site that are not yet fully accessible. As at the date of this statement, we are aware of the following limitations:
- The Google map embedded at the foot of the site is a third-party component outside our control. The showroom address also appears as plain text beside it, and can be obtained by telephone.
- The payment page is handed over to the payment provider's secure environment, whose accessibility is their responsibility.
- The policy documents are also available as PDF files. A full, accessible version of each document appears as text on the page itself, so there is no need to open the PDF.
- Comprehensive testing with a Hebrew screen reader (NVDA) has not yet been fully completed. If you run into difficulty, we would like to hear about it and will address it.
